The Millcreek Arts Council is excited to introduce the Open Art Series, a new set of free pop-up art classes offered to the community three to four times throughout the year. Designed to be welcoming and accessible, each one-day class invites participants to explore creativity, learn new techniques, and connect through art. Art belongs to everyone.

In this 2-hour beginner/intermediate watercolor workshop, participants will explore foundational techniques including wet-on-wet painting, glazing (layering), and using masking fluid to create negative (white) space. While several reference images will be available, instruction will focus on painting a sky and beach landscape inspired by a Terry Harrison tutorial.

In this 2 hour beginner/intermediate watercolor class we will learn basic wet on wet techniques, how to glaze (layer), and how to use masking fluid in order to achieve negative (white) spaces. We will have several reference options to paint and create a piece you enjoy but will be learning specifically how to paint this sky and beach landscape scene from a Terry Harrison tutorial. No prior painting experience necessary, just come ready to have fun.
No prior painting experience is required—just come ready to learn, experiment, and have fun. All supplies will be provided.

- This class is free. If you are accepted and do not attend without canceling, you may be restricted from future classes.
- Class is size is limited.
- Ages 10 and up. Participants under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Each participant must complete their own registration form.
- If you are unable to attend after registering, please return to Eventeny to delete your registration so another participant may join.
