Current Open Board Volunteer Member and Committee Volunteer Positions


Secretary – Board Position – Volunteer

This volunteer position is part of the Executive Board  of the Millcreek Arts Council (MAC). The Millcreek Arts Council Secretary supports the needs of the Chair to ensure that the infrastructure of the Millcreek Arts Council is stable, growing and sustainable.  This position is required to attend monthly board meetings (first Monday of the month). 

Responsibilities:

  • This position works closely with other board members to support committees and projects.
  • The Secretary takes minutes during the monthly board meeting using the monthly board agenda sent out by the Vice Chair. 
  • Is responsible for the Administrative duties of the Board.
  • Is expected to participate on one or more committees

Requirements:

  • 2-20 hours per month.  (variable dependent upon how involved this Board Member is on various committees)
  • Excellent communication, organizational and follow through skills
  • Interest in supporting the Millcreek arts
  • Familiarity with Gmail and Google Drive would be helpful but not required
  • 2-year commitment
  • Attend and/or participate in the events we provide to the community
  • Collegial, collaborative team player. You enjoy volunteering. You bring a collaborative attitude to engaging with other volunteers alike.

Event Photographer – Committee PositionVolunteer

This volunteer committee position would attend and photograph Millcreek Arts Council (MAC) Events during the 2024 summer. 

Responsibilities:

  • 1-5 hours per month
    • Photograph Getting Visual at the Library events on the first Friday of each month (1 hour)
    • Photograph our Summer Jam Concert Series (1 hour) Monday Nights June- August
    • Photograph the annual Millcreek Arts Fest August 17, 2024  (2-5 hours)

Requirements:

  • Interest in supporting the Millcreek arts
  • Familiarity with Gmail and Google Drive
  • Must provide your own photography equipment (can be phone, slr, dslr)
  • Attend and/or participate in the events we provide to the community
  • Collegial, collaborative team player. You enjoy volunteering. You bring a collaborative attitude to engaging with other volunteers alike.
