In partnership with the Salt Lake County, Millcreek Library, we are proud to announce our Gettin’ Visual at the Library series.
Each month we will highlight a local visual artist. Their work will be displayed for the entire month. We will also have a one-night reception open to the public to celebrate the artist (light refreshments and live music).
Please join us at a reception celebrating the work of Sarah Lamon on Friday June 3 from 6PM to 7PM. Light refreshments will be served. BD Howes will be our musical guest.
Millcreek Library and Millcreek Art Council are excited to present an art exhibit in June by Sarah Lamon. Sarah has been creating art for over 20 years. While in high school, she’d get in trouble for doodling all over the edges of her paper. Later, Sarah decided to put the doodles to work and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Western Kentucky University. Sarah is always exploring new mediums, and is truly a mixed media artists. Sarah’s art is heavily influenced by her surroundings, a lot of that being nature. She sees inspiration in tree bark, flowers, clouds in the sky and even cracks in the sidewalk. Creating is her outlet and a place she can escape to every day. When not creating by her self, she is busy creating with her 2 year old daughter.
You can find Sarah’s art on instagram at @yodoodles
These pieces will be on display starting June 1st At 6 PM on June 3rd we will be hosting a reception for the artists with music by BD Howes and light refreshments. Come support our student community and see their beautiful art.
This event is also sponsored by Millcreek City.
