DESCRIPTION:The Millcreek Art Council in collaboration with Millcreek Libra
 ry are excited to present Durga Ekambaram as July’s Artist showcased in 
 Getting Visual at the Library. \n\nArtist:\n\nDurga believes that any for
 m of art is an expression of unspoken words. Her artistic pursuits started
  at a young age\, admiring and learning from her mother who is an artist i
 n India. Durga derives inspiration from anything and everything around her
 .  She loves to express her ethnicity and culture through her art. To Dur
 ga\, creativity is a parallel universe\, where expressions cannot be conta
 ined by the hurdles of the real world. As an artist\, there is nothing mor
 e gratifying for her than watching paint dry. Utah has helped her rediscov
 er her passion in arts. \n\nThis exhibit titled is “Textures and Techni
 ques” and captures a glimpse of all the different mediums and techniques
  Durga has explored. Using different mediums to create desired textures is
  always an intriguing process. Artwork in mediums such as clay\, watercolo
 r\, mirror work\, quilling and glass intend to give a diverse experience f
 or the viewers. Right from an upside-down painting\, done in a unique way 
 of painting the whole portrait in reverse\, to a painting done using coffe
 e\, this display will capture many intriguing techniques Durga has adapted
  over the years. She always hopes to spread positivity and vibrancy throug

 usician:\n\nAcoustic instrumental guitarist Eric McKenna Spreng has forged
  his own distinctive sound from some of the world's great musical traditio
 ns.  Weaving together threads of Spanish flamenco\, traditional Celtic\, 
 Classical\, and Americana\, Eric's original music is a contemporary tapest
 ry of historic impressions. His recent album release\, Dry Spell\, is insp
